Whenever we have a Shibari artist visiting Perth, We believe it’s important to cater to all experience levels, especially those who are just starting out.

With someone of Kasumi’s calibre joining us, it’s only fitting that we offer a dedicated evening to support and welcome newer participants into this space.

Thursday night presents an incredible opportunity to learn from a Japanese Master in an accessible and supportive environment.

“Refining the Senses – Open & Comfortable Bondage Techniques”

This 3 hour workshop focuses on floor play techniques designed for beginners through to intermediate with a few months of experience.

The emphasis for this night is on both the person tying and the person being tied. The primary focus will be on:

• Upper body wrapping (chest harnesses and body holds)

• Hand restraint techniques

• Floor based tying dynamics and flow

The intention is not technical complexity, but developing awareness of:

• Sensation and body response

• Emotional connection between partners

• The process and pacing of tying

• Creating comfortable, immersive bondage experiences

Please note, this is a non suspension workshop. All floor work.

Prerequisites:

Participants should be familiar with at least one style of 2TK (2 rope Takate Kote) and be able to tie basic column ties. There’s still plenty of time to build those foundations before the workshop.

If you’re unsure where you sit skill wise, feel free to reach out. We run regular courses and will also have focus nights leading into the workshop to help people get up to speed.

For those beyond beginner or intermediate level, you’re absolutely welcome as well. There’s always value in being in the room whether it’s refining details, observing different approaches, or experiencing Kasumi’s work firsthand.
