Join us for a rare and personal evening with internationally respected Shibari artist Kasumi Hourai, one of the most prominent female figures in Shibari education today.

For the first time in Perth, this special Meet the Master evening offers a chance to step beyond the workshop environment and experience Kasumi and her work in a more personal and immersive setting.

Whether you are new to rope or experienced in the art form, this evening is designed to be welcoming, engaging, and inspiring.

We begin with a relaxed meet and greet, giving you the opportunity to connect directly with Kasumi. From there, we move into a tailored conversation, questions, discussion, and insight into her approach to rope, performance, and the philosophy that underpins her work.

As the night progresses, the space will shift into a curated live performance.

Kasumi’s performances are known for their subtle intensity, control, and emotional presence. Blending technical precision with deep connection, her work invites the audience into a slower, more attentive space, where rope becomes a medium for expression, tension, and storytelling.

This is not just a demonstration, but an experience.

This evening is open to all that are curious about Shibari, from beginners through to advanced, as well as lovers of performance arts, embodied expression, and anyone wanting to experience something a little different.
